Conrad, Jon M

Professor
I am interested in the management of renewable and nonrenewable resources so as to maximize their value to society.

research

research and scholarship focus

Resource management might be viewed as an exercise in dynamic optimization; how best to use resources over time. I am interested in using mathematical models and methods of dynamic optimization to improve resource allocation.

teaching

teaching focus

My appointment is 50% teaching and 50% research. I enjoy both. I try to incorporate my own research and the latest research in my field within the courses I teach, hopefully keeping both my courses and myself timely and relevant.
