research overview
- Much of my research is applied and related to real-world problems related to the management of natural resources. I attempt to use state of the art social research methods and to work with both managers and stakeholders in designing appropriate processes and methods to obtain the needed research. In recent years I have given increased attention to community-based management and to collaborative management in which a traditional management agency and a community work jointly on a problem of concern, such as deer management.
