My work focuses on the management of organic waste residuals from farms, homes, municipalities and wastewater treatment facilities. Application of sewage sludges to agricultural land and composting of diverse wastes are particular areas of interest.
We seek to provide research-based knowledge to diverse stakeholders including agency staff, regulators, practitioners, farmers and potentially impacted citizens to help them make sound decisions regarding the management of organic waste residuals from farms and wastewater treatment facilities. Through integrated research/outreach projects we build teams comprised of diverse stakeholders to address needs.
