In on-farm settings, I conduct applied research to investigate tactics that will lead to reductions in pesticide use in field crop and in livestock operations in Western New York. In addition, I provide support and assistance to Entomology and Plant Pathology faculty with their on-farm research efforts.
I educate field crop and livestock producers in western New York State about existing and emerging Integrated Pest Management (IPM) tactics. Based on client needs, I explore new ways to target unique audiences with special local needs using a season-long on-farm educational approach. My educational efforts are enhanced with the use of on-farm demonstrations of IPM tactics and technologies.
