Under the guidance of a board of directors, the AIC project's main goal is to establish a foundation for the New York Farm Viability Institute (NYFVI), which will deliver business assistance to farm enterprises in New York State. The New York AIC is supported by grants from the Rural Business-Cooperative Service, USDA and the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets. The project was initiated in March 2004 for an 18-month duration.
