- Extension Associate, New York State Integrated Pest Management Program (NYS IPM)
Brian is an integrated pest management extension specialist for ornamental crops. In this position he works closely with Cornell faculty, extension educators and growers to bring research based information and IPM innovations to Greenhouse, Nursery, Christmas tree and Sod producers. Brian`s academic background is in Plant Pathology and throughout his career he has worked in various aspects of plant problem diagnosis. One aspect of his current work is disseminating information on weed suppressive groundcovers. In addition to plant diagnostics Brian's work through Cornell Extension has concentrated on in turfgrass and landscape plants.

- Plant problem diagnosis and plant disease control through cultural techniques are my current outreach focus. Plan to continue to devote time in 2011 to disseminating research based information on weed management in nursery and Christmas tree ornamental plantings. In addition I will be assisting with Cornell collaborators in the development resources for growers to facilitate their use of biological controls for greenhouse pests.
