I oversee the research and conservation activities in Latin America and the Caribbean of the Conservation Science Program at Cornell Lab of Ornithology. I am a professional ornithologist and member of 7 scientific societies including Elective member of the American Ornithologist Union. I have several bachelor and graduate student in Mexico and Cuba. I hold a B.S. in Biology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico and both a Master in Science and Ph.D. at from University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida.
