Positions

Sid Saltzman's research interests focus on regional modeling, regional science, economic development, and public policy analysis in both the United States and abroad. He has written on these and related topics in a variety of scholarly journals and professional reports. He has taught, lectured, and/or consulted in various countries, including Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, and Russia. He has also co-organized major conferences and workshops on energy planning, large-scale social science models, regional science, and spatial econometrics. In addition to his academic activities, he has had more than ten years' experience in the private sector. He currently participates in the department's "Seminar in Regional Science, Planning and Policy Analysis" and, before retirement, taught a variety of quantitative and modeling courses in CRP including statistics, econometrics, input-output and social accounting matrix models, regional science, and quantitative public policy analysis.
