Kizer Walker is Director of Collection Development for Cornell University Library and the Librarian for German Studies, Classics, Archaeology, and Ancient Near Eastern Studies.

Since his appointment at Cornell in 2001, Kizer has managed projects in several areas of print and digital librarianship, including scholarly communications and digital library initiatives in mathematics and the history of technology. He is particularly interested the effects of technology and institutional change on publishing practices and scholarly communications in the humanities. He is managing editor of Signale: Modern German Letters, Cultures, and Thought (http://signale.cornell.edu/), a monographic series published under the joint imprint of Cornell University Press and Cornell University Library in electronic and print-on-demand formats.

He is a member of the adjunct faculty of Syracuse University's School of Information Studies.

Scholarly interests include critical theory, Marxism, German-Jewish studies, history of technology, war and representation, media studies.
