Made numerous presentations on fish, fish biology, fisheries, fishing, and sustainable angling in New York City. Specifically, we spoke to approximately 1200 children in grades 3-8, including fishing trips, and conducted outreach programming with numerous other groups, including the Bronx YMCA, Lincoln Square community Center, Quality Services for the Autistic Community, Hamilton Madison House, NYC Urban Park Rangers, and the Roosevelt Island Management Agency. We additionally conducted or partnered on 5 large public clinics, introducing several hundred additional New Yorkers to NYs Aquatic Resources.
Other: We produced numerous posters, fliers, and other printed materials about sustainable angling and angling access in New York City, including publicly available lesson plans, an updated public transportation guide, and other printed and web-based materials.
Provide regular input on invasive species and fisheries management to NYS DEC.
