research overview
- My research interests are in applications of geographic information systems in fisheries, management of recreational fisheries, conservation of rare and declining fishes, and sustainable water resources management. My research focus is primarily field oriented with an emphasis on modeling species-environment relationships. Current research includes (i) modeling fish-habitat relationships in streams; (ii) evaluating environmental flows in rivers; (iii) sampling design and methodology; and (iv) applying geotechnology (GIS, GPS) to natural resource management and conservation.
