research overview
- The overall goal of our research is to understand the fundamental biology of plant-nematode interactions with a specific emphasis on the interactions between potato cyst nematode (Globodera rostochiensis and G. pallida) and potato. Specific research areas include: 1) function of nematode effectors, 2) mechanisms of CLE mimicry in cyst nematode parasitism, and 3) conventional and engineered resistance to potato cyst nematodes.
