The realization that the U.S. populace, as well as the global populace, is heavier than ever.

We have developed and recently published a technique based on weight monitoring that prevented freshman from gaining weight during their first semester at Cornell. Untreated freshman gained about 5 to 6 pounds.
impact assessment
If substantiated, the method of controlling weight has the potential to curb the rise in obesity and may be effective in producing a sustained reduction in body weight.
