Centennial history for the Department of Landscape Architecture
2005 Impact statement- Krall, Daniel Wayne
abstract
The history of the Department of Landscape Architecture is an important record for department faculty, college administrators, and graduates of the program. Because the Cornell program and professors were critical to the evolution of landscape architectural education, the history also provides an important understanding of other programs and the American Society of Landscape Architects.

issue being addressed
The project was inspired by the centennial celebration of the department, the renewed interest in landscape history in this country, and the many important individuals who were involved or graduated from the Cornell landscape architecture program.
response
The manuscript is completed. I am presently contacting several possible publishers following a negative response from the Cornell Press last fall.
impact assessment
The document should be an important addition to the understanding of landscape architectural education and the evolution of the profession in this country in the twentieth century.
funding source description
Several sources have offered some funding after I have identified a publisher and anticipated costs of production.
