IPM Specialist , Horticulture
Brian is the IPM specialist for ornamental crops in Western NY. In this position he works closely with Cornell faculty, Extension Educators and growers to bring research based information and IPM innovations to Ornamental Greenhouse, Nursery, Christmas tree and Sod producers. Brian`s academic background is in Plant Pathology and throughout his career he has worked in various aspects of plant problem diagnosis. One aspect of his current work is disseminating information on weed suppressive ground covers.
In addition to plant diagnostics Brian’s work through Cornell Extension has concentrated on in turfgrass and landscape plants.
